Guitar Lessons in Camberley, Sandhurst, Bracknell, Wokingham, Farnborough and Fleet.
My name is Stephen Murrell, I started playing classical guitar at the age of 12 and then went on to acoustic fingerstyle. By the time I was in my mid teens I had started playing electric guitar and jamming with other players as much as possible. I gigged in my first band at 19 years old.
I achieved my music and guitar qualifications and have been teaching since I was twenty five. Later I taught at a University and gained teaching qualifications. My other training was with Yamaha Music Schools and I gained qualifications to teach their own electric guitar course.I teach guitar in all styles, acoustic electric and classical. I teach privately and for Wellington College, Hampshire Music Service and have worked for Yamaha Music Schools and Berkshire Maestro's. All ages are taught from 6 years upwards, both beginners and advanced. Theory and improvisational theory are also taught. Each student is treated as an individual and lessons are tailored to their needs and desires. Friendly and patient tuition is given at all times. I am also a semi-professional musician playing in bands as a lead guitarist. I would recommend learning a musical instrument, it is very relaxing, gives you an interest and a chance to express yourself. By mixing and playing with other players you can develop a healthy social life too. I am based in Sandhurst, Berkshire, and cover the surrounding areas, including: Camberley Wokingham, Bracknell, Farnborough, Blackwater and Fleet.
